Why did the second game seem very real to Michael?

The second game was the “Dragon Quest” where the players had to become knights and the game was about them saving Princess Aurora from the Dragon. The game seemed real as Micheal got a message from Sebastian to save him on his score card. During the entire game, both of them were running away from the dragon, in this game, it was more real for Micheal as he could hear, feel and smell the dragon.
