What does the poet’s ‘voice of education’ tell him about seeing the snake?

The poet’s ‘voice of education’ tell him that he is a brave man and must kill the snake on seeing it. Thinking he is brave he wanted to kill the snake. Therefore, on thinking himself brave and strong he picks up a stick and throws it at the snake in order to kill it.
