Q11 of 31 Page 1

Answer the question in 150-200 words:

Helen’s teacher took her across the tough road of her life. What role did she play in her success?

Helen’s teacher, Miss Anne Sullivan, played a very significant role in taking her across the tough road of her life. She played an undeniably crucial role in Helen’s transformation. She taught her words, related to sense, smell and language and helped her to read and communicate. Miss Anne Sullivan was very kind to her and gave her a bunch of pleasant memories to cherish. In spite of Helen’s disabilities (deaf, blind and almost dumb), Miss Anne never gave up on her. She gave Helen an angelic touch and got deeply into Helen’s psychology. She opened new horizons for Helen by rejecting the conventional ways of teaching and learning, and creating her own teaching methodology for Helen. She is rightly called ‘The Miracle Worker’ as she truly made a transformation in Helen Keller’s life.
