Today, I and my fellow sailors had to suffer ceaselessly because of the ancient mariner’s evil act of killing the innocent albatross. This caused us to stuck in the middle of an iceberg with no hope of our survival. The blessings of the albatross were like a ray of light in utter darkness. The sailors were miserably trapped in the land of mist and snow. Their ship was in the midst of icebergs and therefore they could not find any sign of life around them. Under this situation, the blessings of the albatross revived their hope for life and made their survival possible by lifting the fog, splitting the iceberg and blowing the favourable south wind.


I have no clue as to why ancient mariner shot the innocent albatross. The albatross was a symbol of righteousness that was to our rescue. I will forever regret my helplessness to save the albatross who selflessly saved us all. My salute and best wishes to it.
