They we forced to wear a yellow star, could only attend schools that were specially meant for the Jews and had to be a part of curfews. In July 1942, she had to hide herself in the Annexe. Through the book she has given a elaborate portrait of her life which was lived in confinement expressing her fear and indecisiveness. She struggled to grow up feeling deprived of love and affection in her tender age. She had to lose her innocence in the growing years and overcome so many hurdles. She had act maturely as a child and therefore could never lead a normal growing years.
