School Going Children – Why Lazy?

I, Shobhna, am standing in front of you all today to bring to light a major, but often ignored issue. Our country has always been an energetic and active nation. Right from Gandhi who went on the Dandi March, we have always worked for what we wanted. But can we say the same about today’s youth in our country? Not really.

The school going children hare turning highly lazy, obese and disease prone. Lack of physical activities is the main cause. Children are now choosing to play video games over outdoor sports. Chatting on internet, watching TV, etc., have become addictions. Unhealthy eating habits such as consuming junk food and soft drinks are leading to obesity, high blood pressure and over-weight.

There is an urgent need for the youth of today to lead a disciplined and a healthy life so that our country can have a bright future.

Thank you!
