Mr. Dussel is a dentist and Anne’s roommate during her time at the Secret Annex. Anne, through her diary entries, paints a negative picture of Mr. Dussel. She thinks of him as ill-tempered. He is selfish and does not have any regard for Anne’s feelings. He doesn’t show any gratitude to the families for sharing their hiding space with him. He fails to maintain good relations with anyone in the annex. He often risks all their lives by breaking the rules. He is also a big hoarder of food, which he doesn’t share with anyone.
