Solve the following quadratic equation by factorization method:


3x2 - 29x + 40 = 0.

3x2 - 29x + 40 = 0

⇒ 3x2 - 24x - 5x + 40 = 0


⇒ 3x(x - 8) - 5(x - 8) = 0


⇒ (3x - 5)(x - 8) = 0


⇒ x = 3/5 or x = 8.
