Two dice are thrown, Find the probability of the event that then product of numbers on their upper faces is 12.

When two dice are thrown, the total of possible results are 62 = 36

The cases in which the product of the numbers is 12 are:


(2,6)(3,4)(4,3)(6,2)


Therefore, the number of such cases are 4.


Probability = Favorable cases/Total cases = 4/36 = 1/9.
