As Area of square, Ar (ACDE) = a² sq. cm

Height of Δ ABC, h = 6 – 4 = 2 cm

⇒ Ar (ABC) = 4 sq.cm

Area enclosed by the figure, Area = Ar(ABC) + Ar (ACDE)

⇒ Area = 4 + 16

⇒ Area = 20 sq.cm
