Find the sum of the following APs:

-37, -33, -29, ……, to 12 terms.

In the above series

First term (a) = -37


Common different (d) = n2 – n1 = -33 – (-37) = 4


No. Of terms (n) = 12


The sum of the series is given by Sn = [2a + (n-1) d]


= [2×(-37) + (12-1)4]


= -180
