In unicellular organism excretory organs are absent and thus excretion takes place through the process of simple diffusion. Fresh organism like amoeba possess osmoregulatory organelle called the contractile vacuole which collects water and waste produced in the body, swells up and reaches the surface and bursts to release its contents outside.
