How plants manage the waste materials? (AS1)

Plants manage wastes by various processes which are as follows:

i. Transpiration: removal of excess water and O2 during the day


ii. Guttation: removal of excess water and mineral salts


iii. Respiration: removal of CO2 at night


iv. Secretion: Removal of nitrogenous wastes in form of gums, latex, resins, tannins, etc.
