State the indicators of difference in precipitation.

i. Vegetation is the indicator of the difference in precipitation. The area which has dense forests usually experiences high rainfall and area with grasslands or desert type vegetation experiences low rainfall.

ii. This can also be indicated by Vegetation index.

iii. The difference in minimum and the maximum temperature is another indicator. High maximum temperature and the low minimum temperature is the sign of high rainfall as high maximum temperature vaporize water frequently and with the formation of clouds precipitation occurs

iv. Humidity and level of water in Lakes and rivers are also indicators of difference in precipitation.

v. Places with high humidity and level of water in lakes experience high annual rainfall. That’s why cities with seashores like Mumbai, Chennai etc. experience high rainfall.
