Give two reasons why Jaipur has a higher annual range of temperature than Mumbai.

i. Mumbai is situated nearer to sea whereas Jaipur is in north surrounded by land.

ii. Monsoon and winds pick up moisture from the Arabian Sea at a larger level and cause rainfall more frequently than Jaipur.

iii. Mumbai’s location (near to sea) is the reason of lesser annual range (25 to 30 degrees) of temperature both in summer and winter.

iv. Jaipur experiences very hot temperature in summer approximately 40 degrees and very cold in winter, approximately 10 degrees as it is surrounded by land on all sides and lack the moderating effect of the sea. Therefore it has a bigger range of 10 to 40 degrees temperature.
