Where do evaporation and cloud formation take place on a large scale?

Evaporation and cloud formation in a large place takes place in those areas which are near to water bodies like the sea, ocean, pond, lake etc. As the sun rays fall on them, water evaporates and starts moving up in the air. The more it moves up, the more it becomes cooler. At some height, the air becomes so cool that the water vapours present in it condense to form tiny drops of water called droplets. These tiny droplets form big droplets moving along with the air and finally form clouds which precipitate in the form of rain on the earth.
