How does the humidity in Chennai differs from the humidity of Jaisalmer in Thar desert?

Chennai lies near to both sea and equator. Being near to the sea, the air in Chennai holds more water due to more availability of water for evaporation and being near to the equator, it experiences hot and wet climate which help in fast evaporation. Because of these two conditions, the humidity level of Chennai is high.

Whereas Jaisalmer lies in the arid region of the Thar Desert in North-West India. The climate in this region is dry. It experiences hot weather but due to lack of availability of water for evaporation, the humidity level is low.
