Give any three features of hot weather season in India.

Hot weather season lasts from May to September. Some of the features of this season are:

i. The average temperature in this season is 30 to 35 degrees. A rapid increase in temperature is observed because the sun moves northward and shines vertically on the Tropic of Cancer.

ii. South-west trade winds blow in this season from the Arabian Sea which brings rainfall in June-July.

iii. This season also brings loo which is hot winds in the north-western region of India in the months of May and June.
