More the mass the more difficult it is to move the body from rest'. Explain this statement by giving an example.

Inertia is the tendency of an object to resist changes in its state of motion and mass is the quantity of matter in the body. Mass is solely dependent upon inertia. As we know that more the mass more is the inertia possessed by the object as mass is directly proportional to inertia. More the inertia more is the difficulty to move the object, as it has more tendency to oppose the motion.

Example: It is difficult to move a bundle of books than a single book.
