State any two features of Industrialization.

Industrialisation simply means ‘the development of industries in a country or region on a broad scale’.

By definition “industrialisation is the period of social and economic change that transforms a human group from an agrarian society into an industrial society, involving the extensive re-organization of an economy for the purpose of manufacturing”.

Features of industrialisation are:

1. Economic growth is very high.

2. More efficient and complex division of labour.

3. The use of technological innovation to solve problems.

4. Dependency on conditions outside human control was limited.

5. The increasing use of science to industry. These technological changes made achievable an extremely increased utilization of natural resources and the mass production of manufactured goods.
