Q8 of 58 Page 8

If cosec A= 2, find the value of

As cosec = Hypotenuse/perpendicular

AC = 2 , BC = 1

In right angled ΔABC by Pythagoras theorem,

AC2 = AB2 + BC2
(2)2 = 12 + BC2
BC2 = 4 – 1

= 3

BC = √3 k

As tan θ = perpendicular/base

Sin θ = perpendicular/hypotenuse

cos θ = base/hypotenuse
tan A = (1/√3)
sin A = (1/2)
cos A = (√3/2)
