Functioning of the congress party as an ideological and social coalition-

(i) The congress party was more accommodative and radical in nature.


(ii) There was a respect of opinion of different groups and leaders.


(iii) Groups who could not totally accept the ideology of congress party then also they were a part of congress party. E.g. Radical leaders


(iv) Internal factionalism become the strength for the congress party rather than its weakness.
