Distinguish between two economic ideologies of the Congress party and the Swatantra Party formed in 1959 were-

(i) Swatantra Party wanted the government to be less involved in controlling the economy where as Congress was totally involved in controlling the economy.


(ii) Swatantra party was critical of the development strategy of state intervention in the economy and one public sector. Whereas Congress was in favour of Land Celling, takeover of food grain trade by the state and adoption of cooperative farming.
