Name the phenomenon and the cell responsible for the development of a new individual without fertilisation as seen in honey bees.

In the organisms like rotifers, honeybees and even some lizards and birds (turkey), the female gamete undergoes development to form new organisms without fertilisation. This phenomenon is parthenogenesis.
