Name a disorder, give the karyotype and write the symptoms a human suffers from as a result of monosomy of the sex chromosome.

The disorder which an individual suffers due to monosomy of the sex chromosome is Turner’s syndrome.


This disorder is caused due to absence of one of the X chromosomes, i.e. 45 with X0.


Such females are sterile as ovaries are rudimentary besides other features involving lack of other secondary sexual characters.
