Which term of an A.P. 8, 14, 20, 26, … will be 72 more than its 41st term?

As we know, nth term in A.P. is a + (n-1)d


Where, a is first term


d is common difference


Here a = 8


d = 14-8 = 6


So, 41st term is 8 + (40)6 = 248


72 more than 41st term is 320


So, 320 = 8 + (n-1)6


⇒ n – 1 = 52


⇒ n = 53


Conclusion: Therefore 72 more than 41st term is 52nd term
