a. The government has improved the credit facility in the rural areas. Banks are set up in these areas. They are also given incentives to set up branches in these areas. Banks provide credit at a lower rate of interest to the farmers.

b. Many land reforms are introduced. It has changed the distribution of cultivable land and helped to promote agriculture development.

c. The commercialization of agriculture has increased the per hectare production and per person productivity.

d. Earlier, the Indian agriculture depended entirely on rainfall. Now canals, tube-wells, and wells have led to the decreased in the dependency on rainfall.

e. The use of High Yielding Variety of HYV seeds has led to the reduced dependency on a high amount of water and fertilizer required. This has helped to increased production.
