State Kohlrausch law of independent migration of ions. Why does the conductivity of a solution decrease with dilution?

Kohlrausch law of independent migration of ions: This law states that limiting molar conductivity of an electrolyte can be stated as the sum of the individual contributions of the anion and cation of the electrolyte.

For example, in case of HCl, the molar conductivity is given by:

On dilution, the number of ions per unit volume of solution decreases. And as a result of this decrease, the conductivity (κ) of the electrolyte decreases on dilution.
