What are emulsions? What are their different types? Give one example of each type.

Emulsions are the colloids which have both dispersion phase and dispersion medium in liquid form, i.e., it is a liquid-liquid type of colloid. Some of the examples of emulsions are milk, egg yolk, etc.


There are two different types of emulsions:


1- Oil in water type (O/W type) Example- Milk


2- Water in oil type (W/O type) Example- Butter
