Q21 of 77 Page 16

If the degree measures of the angles of quadrilateral are 4x, 7x, 9x and 10x, what is the sum of the measures of the smallest angle and largest angle?

The total must be equal to 360° (Sum of quadrilaterals)

So,

4x + 7x + 9x + 10x = 360°

30x = 360°

x = 12°

Now,

Substitute x = 12 into 4x (Smallest) + 10x (Biggest)

So,

(4 * 12) + (10 * 12)

= 48 + 120

= 168 so the answer is C
