Q4 of 97 Page 780

The area of a rectangular plot is 462 m2 and its length is 28 m. Find its perimeter.

Given: Area = 462 m2

Length = 28 m

We know that,

Area of rectangle = Length × Breadth

⇒ 462 m2 = 28 m × Breadth

⇒ Breadth = 16.5 m

Now,

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2(length + breadth)

= 2(28 m + 16.5 m)

= 2 × 44.5 m

= 89 m
