Classify the following as addition and condensation polymers: Terylene, Bakelite, Polyvinyl chloride, Polythene.

The polymers formed by the addition polymerization are called as addition polymers. When a large number of monomer molecules add up together to form polymer chain the process is called as addition polymerization.

In condensation polymerization, a series of condensation reactions take place. The polymerization usually occurs between monomers containing two or more functional groups. Each step involves loss of small molecules such as water, ammonia etc.
