As an artist, one’s endeavour should be to make the ‘most of one’s opportunity, and squeeze the last drop of meaning out of one’s lines. A play is the combined effort of many that makes it successful. Patol Babu was given minor roles to play in films. This did not deter him. His passion drove him to work hard. Even if the job had a low pay, Patol Babu worked dedicatedly because he found the job worthwhile. He liked the sense of achievement when he met his target. Learning new skills and sense of belonging to the job made Patol Babu very satisfied. His mentor, Gogan Prakashi imbibed values in Patol Babu which made him persevere. No work was small and Patol Babu did not chase money. His attitude towards work made him popular.
