(103 + 102), 205

1032 – 1022 is of the form a2 – b2. Comparing the two we get, a = 103 and b = 102.


We have a2 - b2 = (a + b)(a-b).


So, 1032 – 1022 = (103 + 102)(103-102)


= (205)(1)


= 205×1 = 205
