The perimeter of a sector of a circle is 58 cm. Find the area if its diameter is 9 cm.

perimeter of a sector = 58 cm


diameter = 9 cm


Radius (r) = d/2 = 9/2 = 4.5 cm


Perimeter = r + r + length of arc


= 2 ( r) + length of arc


58 =arc length + 9


Arc length (a)= 58 – 9 = 49cm


Area of sector =
