Find the radius of a sector whose perimeter and arc length are 24 cm and 7 cm respectively.

perimeter of a sector = 24 cm


arc length = 7 cm


Perimeter = arc length + r + r


= arc length + 2r


24 = 7 + 2(r)


2r = 24 – 7


r = 17/2


r = 8.5 cm
