Given:

Present Population = 60000

Annual Increase = 10%

To find:: Population after two years.

The population at the end of the first year would be the initial population and the increase.

∴ Increase in population

∴ The population at the end of the first year would be

60000 + 6000 = 66000

Population at the end of second year would be first year’s final population and the increase.

∴ Increase in population

∴ The population at the end of second year would be

66000 + 6600 = 72600.

∴ The population at the end of Second year is 72600.
