Sources of energy such as wind, tidal, solar, geothermal etc., are called Non-conventional sources of energy.


1. The initial cost of tapping these sources are high but in the long run, it is economical.


2. These sources are eco-friendly and are distributed equitably.


3. Bioenergy is also a non-conventional source of energy. It helps in conservation of forests by reducing the pressure on wood.


4. These sources of energy are pollution-free.


Thus, the non-conventional sources of energy provide sustained, cheaper and eco-friendly source of energy.
