The electric current flowing in a wire in the direction from B to A is decreasing. Find out the direction of the induced current in the metallic loop kept above the wire as shown.

As the current is flowing from B to A and is decreasing, the magnetic field will be inwards of the plane of the loop and as the flux of the magnetic field is decreasing as per Lenz’s law an induced current will flow in the clockwise direction.


The current will flow in the loop as shown in the figure below.
