Answer the following briefly

Distinguish between Colonialism and Imperialism.

Colonization term means that the population is transferred to the new territories and the people becomes permanent settlers on the colonized lands but the political system is not to touched upon by the colonizers whereas the term Imperialism means to have a complete control over the territory and the imperial country completely have a command and control over the country where they settle. For instance, When the British came initially to India, they had the sole aim of trading with the country, so they made colonies in various parts of India but gradually they took control over the administrative, political and judiciary system of the country so they became an imperialist power.
