Explain the following terms:

Association neuron ................

A neuron between the primary afferent neuron and the final motor neuron. Also, any neuron whose processes lie entirely within a specific area, such as the olfactory lobe. The main function of the association neurons in the spinal cord is that of inhibitory control. They also interconnect other cells with one another.
