If ΔABC ~ΔDEF such that 2AB = DE and BC = 6 cm, find EF.

Given: ABC ~DEF such that 2AB = DE and BC = 6 cm.


From SSS-similarity criterion,


We get


AB/DE = BC/EF


Substituting the given values,


AB/2AB = 6cm/EF


1/2 = 6cm/EF


EF = 2 × 6cm


EF = 12cm
