State the evidence we have for the origin of life from inanimate matter.

Stanley L. Miller and Harold C. performed an experiment to prove that the life has been originated from inanimate matter. It was performed as follows:

1. They created an atmosphere like early Earth in an apparatus. The atmosphere consists of Methane, Ammonia and Hydrogen Supplied but no Oxygen over water.

2. The temperature was maintained at below 1000C and lightning was simulated by passing the sparks.

It was observed that, at the end of a week, 15% of the carbon obtained from Methane gets converted into simpler compounds of Carbon such as Amino acids.
