With the help of suitable diagram, explain the various steps of budding in hydra.

What is binary fission in organisms? With the help of suitable diagrams, describe the mode of reproduction in amoeba.

Hydra is a plant which reproduces by asexual mode of reproduction known as Budding.

The various steps involved in budding in hydra are as follows:

1. Arising of bulb like projection from the body of parent called as ‘bud’. The bud is single celled and is formed by mitotic division.

2. Growing of bud to form a small hydra

3. Detaching of bud from the parent hydra into a separate individual.

It can be shown with the help of the following diagram:

The process of asexual mode of reproduction in which the parent organism gets splits into two or more daughter cells.

The reproduction in amoeba is through binary fission in which the parent nuclei of amoeba gets splits into two daughters by the division of the cytoplasm.
