Dams are useful for the society but there is public opposition to the construction of large dams. Justify your answer by giving three problems.

Dams are opposed by the public due to following reasons:

1. Construction of large dams will lead to dislocation of people from that place. This is the social problem due to which the public is in opposition of the construction of the large dams.


2. Submerging of flora and fauna is the environmental issue which occurs due to construction of dams.


3. Moreover, a huge cost is required to construct the dams. So, social, economic as well as environment reasons are in opposition of construction of large dams.
