Why is violence between two communities considered as a threat to democracy?

Democracy means rule of people, where people get the right to directly elect their choice of government.

But along with democracy comes lot of challenges.


India’s democratic atmosphere of communal amity has faced many challenges in the form of anti –sikh riots , Hindu Muslims violence in Gujrat .


And violence not only disturbs social and economic interdependence but also adversaly affect the secular system and hampers the religious freedom.
