Analyse the two political developments of 1940s that led to the decision for the creation of Pakistan.

The two political developments that led to decision of creation of Pakistan are :

1. The ‘two-nation theory’ advanced by the Muslim League:- The members of Muslim League demanded for completely different nation for Muslims. Hence they demanded for Pakistan as another country. Congress Opposed the idea of forming a new country and this led to rise in competition between Congress and Muslim League.


2. The British offered several proposals containing dominion status for India but were let down by Congress and Muslim league and finally, going by the demand of Muslim League they demarcated a line between India and Pakistan
