Now, By using nth term of an A.P. formula

tn = a + (n – 1)d


where n = no. of terms


a = first term


d = common difference


tn = nth terms


⇒ t7 = a + (7 – 1) × ( – 4)


⇒ 4 = a + 6 × ( – 4)


⇒ 4 = a – 24


⇒ a = 24 + 4 = 28
