In the given expression

1^st and last terms are perfect square

⇒ 36x² = 6x × 6x

⇒ 64y² = 8y × 8y

And the middle expression is in form of 2ab

96xy = 2 × 6x × 8y

∴ 6x × 6x + 2 × 8y × 6x + 8y × 8y

Gives (a + b)² = a² + 2ab + b²

⇒ In 36x² + 96xy + 64y²

a = 6x and b = 8y;

∴ 36x² + 96xy + 64y² = (6x + 8y)²

Hence the factors of 36x² + 96xy + 64y² are (6x + 8y) and (6x + 8y)
