Q2 of 105 Page 279

Divide the given polynomial by the given monomial

(25x5 – 15x4) ÷ 5x3

In the given term

Dividend = (25x5 – 15x4)

Take out the common part in binomial term

= (5 × 5 × x × x × x × x × x – 3 × 5 × x × x × x × x)

= (5x – 3)5x4

Divisor = 5x3

=

= (5x – 3)x

= 5x2 – 3x

Hence dividing (25x5 – 15x4) by 5x3 gives out 5x2 – 3x
